Molds for ceramic casting are used to produce ceramic objects using casting slip. Liquid clay – such as stoneware, earthenware, or porcelain slip – is poured into the plaster mold and emptied after a short time. During this process, an even layer of clay forms against the walls of the mold. The mold is then opened and the object is removed for further processing and finishing.
