Precious Clay & Glass fusing

Precious (metal) clays and glass fusing for jewelry making

Metal clay is a general term for clays containing finely powdered metals such as sterling silver, copper, or bronze, combined with a binder and water. The clay can be shaped freely or pressed into silicone molds, dried, and then fired in a jewelry kiln or with a butane torch. During firing, the binder burns away, leaving a piece made of pure metal that can be polished to a high shine.

Our glass sheets for fusing are ideal for jewelry making due to their convenient sizes. They can be combined with metal clays as settings or decorations, or used on their own. The glass can also be crushed and placed in molds for fusing in a jewelry kiln or HotPot to create ornaments, pendants, and unique pieces.
