Description
Dipping glaze for stoneware. Fires between 1210 °C and 1280 °C (cone 5 to 10). Can be sprayed and used for oxidation, reduction, etc. Since clays can vary and have different properties, we recommend testing the glaze on a small piece of the clay you want to use. Different results at different temperatures. The bag contains powder that should be mixed with water according to the instructions. The bag contains 4,5 kg of powder and yields approximately 4,5 liters of finished glaze.

Information
Cone 6 oxidation (1230°C): Abalone is formulated to produce a breaking white and mauve semi-gloss glaze. Light applications will produce a more white semi-gloss finish. Use three+ coats to achieve semi-gloss Abalone finish. Clay body characteristics will be visible through this glaze.
Cone 10 reduction (1280°C): Color darkens to purple.
