It can be achieved rich, true-to-color finishes on both greenware and bisque, without running or blurring. Color changes for some SK’s may occur at stoneware temperatures, tests are recommended.

They are suitable for brushing and spraying, providing flexibility for all ceramic artists—from beginners to professionals.

Preparation: Stir or shake well before use to ensure consistent results.

Surface: Apply to leather-hard clay, bone-dry greenware, or bisque. 

Coats: For full coverage, apply 2-3 even coats with a soft brush, allowing each layer to dry before adding the next. For detailed line work, a single coat may suffice.

Mixing: Colors can be blended to create custom shades or used straight from the container for bold, pre-mixed hues.

Clear Glaze Finishes: Enhance color vibrancy and make it suitable for dinnerware by using a recommended clear glaze (for stoneware without zinc).

Low-Fire Results (1020°C): Silky Underglazes fire true-to-color at low-fire temperatures, delivering vibrant and opaque results.

Mid-Fire Results (1240°C): Colors maintain their integrity and remain vibrant when fired to Cone 6.

High-Fire Potential (up to 1280°C): While some colors may shift or fade, this SK-Series retain their brilliance at higher temperatures. Testing is recommended for specific results.
