Art Clay Bronze Clay 50 g is a moldable metal clay that becomes solid bronze after firing. Ideal for jewelry and decorative objects with a warm golden tone resembling gold. A great alternative for creating larger pieces with an exclusive look at a lower material cost than precious metals. The clay can be shaped, textured and detailed like silver or copper clay before firing.

Art Clay Bronze must be fired in an electric kiln inside a closable metal container filled with activated carbon. Cover the bottom of the container with at least 1 cm of activated carbon. Place the piece on the carbon (leave space between pieces if firing multiple items) and cover with at least 2 cm of carbon on top.

Fire at 820 °C. Heating time to target temperature should exceed 20 minutes. Hold for approximately 2 hours (for a container approx. 7 x 7 cm). Larger containers require longer hold times to ensure proper heat penetration.

Allow the kiln to cool to room temperature before removing the container. The surface may appear oxidized after firing and can be cleaned with pickle solution. Polish using a steel brush, sandpaper in various grits, and finish with a burnisher or tumbler.

Shrinkage approximately 10–13 %.
