Kiln Ice Glazes Cone 5 - 6  (1210/1230°C) from Amaco are a stunning glaze series that capture a signature crackle effect, offering a rich, dynamic surface that enhances both form and texture, especially with brown or buff clays. These glazes work best with clays that are manganese free. 473 ml.

Information

Apply with a soft brush to bisque with 3-4 heavy coats and fire to cone 5/6 (1210/1230°C)

The thickness of the applied glaze affects the size of the cracks, a heavier glaze application will give larger cracks, even the clay body effects the cracks.

These glazes are food safe, but due to durability, they are not recommended for food surfaces. 

Due to variations in raw materials used during manufacturing, we recommend firing glazed test tiles before using each new batch number of glaze.
