Aventurine is a glossy glaze that offers a beautifully mottled, teal finish. Perfect individually or when layered with other Studio Plus glazes. Recommended for low-fire temperatures (Cone 05/06) only (1000°C-1040°C). 473 ml.

Information

Aventurine offers hints of mottled variation with a range of teal hues when fired at Cone 06/05. Best when used on textured surfaces, Aventurine is friendly in application and can be layered with other Studio Plus Glazes when fired at low-fire temperatures. This color offers translucent coverage with one coat and is fully opaque with 2–3 average coats.

Cone 06 Results: Glossy, rich teal with mottling

Cone 6 Results: Not recommended for mid-fire temperatures

Recommended Layers: 1 average coat for translucency, 2–3 coats for an opaque finish

Notes: Mottling presents on flat surfaces but is much more pronounced on areas with texture.
