Description
Mayco stoneware glazes should be stirred and applied, preferably with a soft fan brush, in 2-4 layers on the bisque-fired ware. Fire to between cone 5 and cone 6 (1200°C - 1230°C). Many colors also perform very well at higher temperatures, see pictures under Information, test before application in production. 473 ml. Ready-mixed. Not Food safe.
Information
Cone 6 (1230°C): Beetle Wing is a glossy, opaque green glaze that breaks over texture and has an iridescent sheen. Semi-fluid at 3 coats.
Cone 10 (1280°C) reduction: Beetle Wing turns into a glossy blue color when applied thinly and a light green when applied thickly.
