Description
AMACO Opalescent Glazes produce a high-gloss finish after firing. On textured objects, the glaze flows thinly over the relief and thickly in the incised areas, adding an extra dimension to the surface. 473 ml.
Information
AMACO Opalescent are high-gloss glazes developed to allow the clay or underlying underglaze to shimmer through the texture, creating an interesting and varied appearance depending on the clay or underglaze used. Stir the glaze thoroughly before use and apply 3-4 layers with a soft brush to bisque-fired ware. The object is fired at a medium-slow curve to a maximum of 1031°C.
High firing at Cone 05/1031°C | Best over red clay or colored underglazes | Breaks and collects over the texture
Glaze firing to: Cone 05 = 1031 °C
Apply to bisqueware fired to Cone 04 = 1063°C
