Celadon Bloom - Dry
Description
Dipping glaze for stoneware. Fires between 1210 °C and 1280 °C (cone 5 to 10). Can be sprayed and used for oxidation, reduction, etc. Since clays can vary and have different properties, we recommend testing the glaze on a small piece of the clay you want to use. Different results at different temperatures. The bag contains powder that should be mixed with water according to the instructions. The bag contains 4,5 kg of powder and yields approximately 4,5 liters of finished glaze.

Information
When applying Stoneware Dry Crystal glazes, use a cup or ladle to pour the glaze over your piece. While the glaze is wet, you may use a fan brush to evenly distribute the crystals; avoid heavy crystal loading on the bottom.
When crystal glazes have been standing for a while, a hard cake of particles may form at the bottom. This can be dissolved with Epsom salt. See instructions under documents.
Cone 6 oxidation (1230°C): Celadon Bloom is a turquoise semi-transparent gloss glaze that contains a white crystal.
Cone 10 reduction (1280°C): Color lightens. Crystals remain.

TIP: SW-201 Turquoise is the base glaze. For a lighter crystal effect, you may try applying two coats of SW-201 Turquoise with a third coat of SW-150 Celadon Bloom.
Safety
Can be irritating, harmful to health, and environmentally hazardous.
