Cinnabar - Dry
Description
Dipping glaze for stoneware. Fires between 1210 °C and 1280 °C (cone 5 to 10). Can be sprayed and used for oxidation, reduction, etc. Since clays can vary and have different properties, we recommend testing the glaze on a small piece of the clay you want to use. Different results at different temperatures. The bag contains powder that should be mixed with water according to the instructions. The bag contains 4,5 kg of powder and yields approximately 4,5 liters of finished glaze.

Information
Cone 6 oxidation (1230°C): Cinnabar is a rich maroon-red gloss glaze that tends to develop a hazy purple float with heavier application.
Cone 10 reduktion (1280°C): Color darkens.

TIP: One to two coats will produce an opaque maroon-red; three+ coats will produce higher levels of purple float. You’ll produce beautiful color variations with Cinnabar without the glaze running off your ware during a cone 6 oxidation firing.
Safety
Can be irritating, harmful to health, and environmentally hazardous.
