Ready-mixed special glaze for brushing in silk matte that cracks. Apply 2-3 coats with a soft brush to achieve the crackling effect. 3 coats give a milk-like (white opaque) and more glossy finish. To make the crazing visible, rub black ink into the cracks with a cloth after firing. Not suitable for use on dishes due to cracking. Fires at 1230-1260°C degrees. 473 ml. 

Cone 6 oxidation (1250°C): Crackle Matte Clear is a soft matte, semi-transparent glaze that develops a fine crackle pattern.

Cone 10 reduction (1260/1280°C): No change.

TIP: At least two coats are needed to develop a crackle pattern. To emphasize the crazing pattern, after firing, you can apply black acrylic or ink over the piece and wipe it off so that the ink fills the cracks. This glaze needs to be fired at least at cone 6 to develop crackles. It can take up to 24 hours after firing of the glaze to develop the crackles.
