Description

Kiln wash is used to prevent glaze from sticking to kiln shelves and other kiln furniture during ceramic firings. The powder is mixed with water to a cream-like consistency and applied with a brush in two thin coats on the top surface of the shelves. Let it dry, then fire the kiln wash at 1000 °C (bisque firing) before using the shelves. 453 g

If applied too thickly, the kiln wash may flake after firing. In such cases, remove all old kiln wash and reapply from the beginning. To maintain its protective function, the kiln wash should be refreshed regularly.

Safety

May cause organ damage with prolonged and repeated exposure. 

Do not spray; do not inhale the dust. 

Wear eye protection, a face mask, gloves, and protective clothing.

Do not eat while using this product.

In case of contamination: move to fresh air, rinse mouth, skin, and eyes with water, remove contact lenses if present, and continue rinsing for 10 minutes. 

Wash protective clothing before each use. If you experience discomfort or irritation, seek medical attention.

The contents and container must be disposed of through an authorized waste management facility.
