Description
Mayco stoneware glazes should be stirred and applied, preferably with a soft fan brush, in 2-4 layers on the bisque-fired ware. Fire to between cone 5 and cone 6 (1200°C - 1230°C). Many colors also perform very well at higher temperatures, see pictures under Information, test before application in production. 473 ml. Ready-mixed.
Information
Cone 6 (1230°C): Lilac Speck is a satin-matte, semi-opaque light purple that breaks over texture. Contains small purple, orange and yellow specks. Stable glaze.
Cone 10 (1280°C) reduction: Lilac Speck lightens to off-white. Specks blur and lose definition with increased application thickness; crystallization may develop. Remains stable.
