Light Flux
Description
Mayco’s cream-colored Flux for stoneware is a fluid glaze developed to be used in combination with other stoneware glazes to enhance movement, promote reactions, and create interesting effects. Apply 2–3 layers of Flux under or over another stoneware glaze to bring out “hidden colors.” See more under Information.

Information
Flux can be brushed on in layers, applied with a detail bottle, or dabbed on with a sponge. The thicker the layer, the greater the flow. Ready-mixed. Fired between Cone 5 and Cone 8 (1200°C–1280°C) Always test before applying to production pieces. Do not apply flux to the bottom of the piece to prevent damage to the kiln.
Cone 6 oxidation (1230°C): Light Flux is a translucent cream color when used alone.
Cone 10 reduction (1280°C): The increase in temperature will cause more movement.

TIP: Chip shown over SW-119 Cinnabar.
