Description

Orton recommends the use of iron-free cones for reduction firing at temperatures between 940 °C and 1150 °C (cones 03–3).

Witness cones / Orton Cones are used to analyze the firing curve after firing. Edvard Orton’s cone system is a reliable tool for achieving accurate firings and for troubleshooting kiln temperatures. The indicated temperature corresponds to a medium-slow firing rate (60 °C per hour), and the cones are free from iron oxide. Packaging: Box of 25 pcs.
