Peacock - Dry
Description
Dipping glaze for stoneware. Fires between 1210 °C and 1280 °C (cone 5 to 10). Can be sprayed and used for oxidation, reduction, etc. Since clays can vary and have different properties, we recommend testing the glaze on a small piece of the clay you want to use. Different results at different temperatures. The bag contains powder that should be mixed with water according to the instructions. The bag contains 4,5 kg of powder and yields approximately 4,5 liters of finished glaze.

Information
Cone 6 oxidation (1230°C): Peacock provides a translucent, teal gloss color. You will produce beautiful color variations with Peacock without the glaze running off your ware during firing. Designed to provide a hint of color with one coat, deeper color with two to three coats – but remaining translucent.
Cone 10 reduction (1280°C): Color lightens.
TIP: One coat allows more of the clay body characteristics to appear through the glaze, adding a faint color gloss to the surface. Subsequent coats deepen the teal color but at three coats you will still obtain a translucent fired surface. Four+ coats will produce more opacity and less translucency.
Safety
Can be irritating, harmful to health, and environmentally hazardous.
