Pink-A-Boo - Speckled
Description
Mayco’s Speckled Stroke & Coat® glazes perform just as well as their counterparts and are an improved version of the popular Stroke & Coat® colors. The addition of small specks of color to the base glaze creates a fun visual effect that does not melt or bleed during firing at 1000°C.
Stroke & Coat® is the industry’s most versatile product. It can be applied to leather-hard, earthenware, or bisque-fired stoneware, fired from cone 06 to cone 6 (1000°C – 1240°C); at stoneware temperatures in oxidation or reduction, color changes may occur.
Information
At stoneware firing temperatures, slight movement and possible color changes may occur. Stroke & Coat® paints are mixable, allowing artists to create their own shades. Dilute with water to achieve a wash or watercolor effect. Stroke & Coat® fires to a glossy finish without a clear glaze and provides full coverage in two to four coats.
Cone 06 (1000°C) oxidation: Speckled Pink-A-Boo is a heavily pigmented, viscous Stroke & Coat® glaze with maroon specks that can be used for brush strokes or opaque coverage. One coat will create a translucent finish with subsequent coats adding opacity. We suggest two to three coats for full opacity and all over coverage. Will fire to a gloss finish without clear glaze.
Cone 6 (1230°C) oxidation: Semi-Transparent. Color slightly lightens. Specks bleed.

Cone 10 (1280°C) Reduction
