Roselli stoneware stilts with 3 feet are used to keep ceramic pieces raised above kiln shelves and setter plates during both bisque and glaze firings. This prevents the ware from sticking to the kiln shelf during firing. The bottom of the piece must not be glazed, as the stilt may otherwise fuse into the glaze. As long as the stilt is not covered with glaze, it can be used repeatedly. The stilts are designed for high temperatures and can withstand up to 1280°C.
