Description

A practical starter set from Amaco, ideal when purchasing a new kiln. These stilts, featuring Kanthal wire pins embedded in stoneware ceramic, are placed under glazed pieces to prevent them from sticking to the kiln shelf during glaze firing. After firing, the stilts are removed and any glaze marks, which may be sharp, are smoothed using a glaze grinding stone such as KT-SS. The stilts are reusable and designed for repeated use.

Maximum firing temperature: 1050 °C. The set includes tripod stilts in various sizes, ranging from approx. 6.3 mm up to 70 mm.
