Sapphire - Dry
Description
Dipping glaze for stoneware. Fires between 1210 °C and 1280 °C (cone 5 to 10). Can be sprayed and used for oxidation, reduction, etc. Since clays can vary and have different properties, we recommend testing the glaze on a small piece of the clay you want to use. Different results at different temperatures. The bag contains powder that should be mixed with water according to the instructions. The bag contains 4,5 kg of powder and yields approximately 4,5 liters of finished glaze.

Information
Cone 6 oxidation (1230°C): Sapphire is a rich, deep cobalt blue glaze. It has a glossy, mirrored surface which can give colors from dark blue to bluish-purple, depending upon the thickness of application.
Cone 10 reduction (1280°C): No Change.

TIP: If the application is too thin, the glaze will be streaky.
