Silicone Mold for Bezel

Description

Silicone mold for stone setting – an easy way to create your own silver clay stone settings. Ideal for jewellery makers working with silver clay who want to produce professional bezel or prong settings for rings, pendants or earrings.

Press the silver clay into the lubricated mold and allow it to dry for at least 24 hours. Carefully remove the dried setting and fill any air bubbles with silver paste. File the edge down until it matches the height of the stone’s top edge. Then thin the rim so it can be bent over the stone after firing using a burnisher or similar tool. Alternatively, use a round file to file crosswise grooves into the walls to create four prongs. After firing, these prongs can be pressed securely against the stone.

Suitable for stones in 3, 4, 5 and 8 mm.
