Description

Wax On (decorative wax) contains a special hardener that makes the wax dry quickly, prevents dripping, and ensures it is not sticky after application. It is therefore ideal for all types of decoration, both with a brush and an applicator bottle, on bisque-fired ceramics.

The wax can also be used, for example, to dip the bottoms of stoneware pieces to prevent glaze from sticking. During glaze firing, the wax burns away completely.

Note: Store frost-free and only ship during frost-free periods.

Important Information

• Decorative wax can be applied between different glaze layers to create batik effects or similar decorative patterns.
• More smoke is produced during glaze firing as the wax burns off – ensure the kiln is well ventilated.
• Place items with some distance between them in the kiln, as the wax may drip or fall off and affect nearby pieces before it burns away.
• If the glaze meant to be resisted is applied too thickly, the wax may not fully prevent the glaze from flowing into the intended area.
