Description
Mayco stoneware glazes are best applied with a soft fan brush to bisque-fired ware. Fire to between cone 5 and cone 6 (1200°C - 1230°C). Many colors also perform very well at higher temperatures, see images under the Information tab. Test before applying to product. Ready-mixed.
Information
Cone 6 Oxidation (1230°C): Lavender Mist is a semi-opaque gloss glaze that displays shades of lavender and brown. The variation of the glaze is dependent on application; Thicker application will result in a more opaque and homogenous color.
Cone 10 Reduction (1280°C): Color darkens.
