Macadamia
Description
Stoneware matte glazes range from solid shades to those that create interesting color variations as they move and break. Application thickness is the key to making mattes work for you.
Mayco’s stoneware glazes are preferably applied with a soft fan brush onto the bisque-fired ware. Fire between cone 5 and cone 6 (1200°C - 1230°C). Many colors also perform very well at higher temperatures — see images; test before applying on production pieces. 473 ml. Ready to use.
Information
Cone 6 oxidation (1230°C): Macadamia is a creamy vanilla matte glaze that adds accents of gold. We recommend firing our matte glazes to cone 6 to produce a satin matte finish.
Cone 10 reduction (1280°C): Color changes to a variegated gray/cream. Glossy blue becomes more prominent.

Tip: The variation of the glaze is dependent on application; Thicker application will result in a more homogenous color. The glaze will break over texture and can pool a glossy blue.
