Oxblood
Description
Mayco stoneware glazes are best applied with a soft fan brush to bisque-fired ware. Fire to between cone 5 and cone 6 (1200°C - 1230°C). Many colors also perform very well at higher temperatures, see images under the Information tab. Test before applying to product. Ready-mixed. 473 ml.
Information
Cone 6 oxidation (1230°C): Oxblood is a milky gloss and transparent glaze that pools red. Heavier application will produce more red.
Cone 10 reduction (1280°C): Gloss finish is enhanced and less milky. Red pooling is brighter.

Tip: Must be applied thick for red variation to appear.
