Description
Mayco stoneware glazes are best applied with a soft fan brush to bisque-fired ware. Fire to between cone 5 and cone 6 (1200°C - 1230°C). Many colors also perform very well at higher temperatures, see pictures under the Information tab. Test before applying to product. Ready-mixed. 473 ml.
Information
Cone 6 oxidation (1230°C): Sand Dollar is a satin, opaque, cream-colored glaze with white and gold mottling. Breaks glossy transparent over texture.
Cone 10 reduction (1280°C): Glaze shifts to a glossy, variegated lavender purple with white micro-crystallization. Breaks blue/grey over texture. Enhanced mobility.

TIP: This glaze is fluid at 3 coats. Anticipate glaze movement with receded application on vertical surfaces to prevent unwanted running.
