This Cosmos series of glazes from Amaco for cone 5/6 (1200-1230°C) provides unique and captivating visual effects reminiscent of cosmic or extraterrestrial phenomena. Cosmos glazes are carefully designed to capture the mesmerizing beauty of crystalline glazes in every brushstroke. Information

The glaze is food safe, but due to its shelf life, these glazes are not recommended for food-contact surfaces.

These glazes can be fired in a standard medium-speed firing without any special holding time required. If you want to take the glaze to the next level, you can use controlled cooling to enhance crystal growth.

Cone 5 = 1184 °C (at 150 °C/hour during the final 100 °C of the firing)
Cone 6 = 1241 °C (at 150 °C/hour during the final 100 °C of the firing)
