Earthenware Glazes 1000°C

Our earthenware brushing glazes are pre-mixed and easy to apply with a soft brush in 2-4 layers. The thicker they are applied, the more opaque they become. Thin layers give a more watercolor-like result. They are fired at 1000°C, see under information for each glaze how it behaves at higher temperatures. 

Our glazes may develop what are known as oolites, which form as a result of a natural process involving certain raw materials in the glaze. These are small white spheres of varying sizes. If they are detected, they should be strained out (using a 60-mesh strainer) before use. The glaze is then used as usual.
