Stoneware - Clear glazes

Our clear glazes are available as brushing glaze and some as dipping glaze in matte, glossy, ultra glossy, zinc-free and with crackle. It should be applied on bisque. If applied too thickly and above 1260°C, our clear glazes can become milky.

Our glazes may develop what are known as oolites, which form as a result of a natural process involving certain raw materials in the glaze. These are small white spheres of varying sizes. If they are detected, they should be strained out (using a 60-mesh strainer) before use. The glaze is then used as usual.

We recommend always testing our glazes before applying them to your production pieces, as different clays, firing curves, and temperatures can produce results that differ from those shown on our website.

Most of our stoneware glazes are food-safe. Those that are not are marked with a warning symbol on the jar and in the glaze description on our website.
